Gransee Historic town centre in the midst of charming countryside

In Gransee, time seems to stand still in some corners: The town still enchants with its medieval town centre and the almost completely preserved town wall from the 14th century. It includes the Powder Tower and the imposing Ruppiner Tor - a landmark in late Gothic brick architecture and one of two former entrances to the town. In the old town, small alleys from the age of chivalry meet the main streets, which were rectangularly laid out after a town fire. The eye-catcher in the centre is the imposing St. Mary's Church with its two towers. Lovers of Prussian history should visit Schinkelplatz. Here a monument designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel commemorates Queen Luise, whose coffin was laid out there for one night after her death in 1810. Gransee is also surrounded by two nature parks and thus directly by the beautiful nature of North Brandenburg - the perfect starting point for your next outdoor adventure.
