Declaration on accessibility Status: 19.01.2024

The Tourismusverband Ruppiner Seenland e.V. (hereinafter referred to as TV RSL) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve user-friendliness for everyone and apply the appropriate accessibility standards.

This digital accessibility statement applies to the TV RSL website published at www.ruppiner-seenland.de.

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavor to make our website accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Brandenburg Disability Equality Act (BbgBGG) and the Brandenburg Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BbgBITV) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

According to Section 2 BbgBITV, websites and apps are assumed to be accessible if the requirements of the harmonized European standard (EN) 301 549 (in the current version) are met. EN 301 549 refers to the requirements of the international standard Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) with conformance levels A and AA. Additional requirements:

PDF documents from the website were also checked for accessibility using the PDF Accessibility Checker. The evaluation showed that the PDF documents are not PDF/UA-compliant.

Problems found include:

  •         the font for some texts is not embedded, so that texts may not be displayed in some display programs or may not be displayed barrier-free
  •         Headings are not marked
  •         No scope has been defined for column headings
  •         Graphics have no alternative text
  •         No meaningful document title has been assigned in the document properties

Enforcement proceedings

If you receive an unsatisfactory response or no response from the above-mentioned contact options within a period of three weeks, you can contact the Enforcement Office for Digital Accessibility of the State of Brandenburg to check the information and measures specified in the accessibility declaration. According to Section 4 (3) BbgBITV, the enforcement body has the task of enforcing the right of citizens to accessible websites and mobile applications vis-à-vis public bodies in the state of Brandenburg.

The enforcement body checks the applicability of an enforcement procedure from a formal and content-related perspective and, in individual cases, orders a technical review of the website or mobile application by the Monitoring Body for Accessibility of Web and Application Technologies in the State of Brandenburg. The enforcement procedure is free of charge. No legal assistance is required.
