The fourth stage of the Burgenwanderweg trail is 20 kilometres long from Jeserig to Görzke. From Jeserig, it is not far to Wiesenburg/Mark. The 123 hectare castle grounds at Wiesenburg/Mark are considered to be one of the most important garden monuments between Potsdam and the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz. The castle’s viewing tower offers a grandiose view of Fläming. In Görzke, an old pottery centre, the craft of the potter’s wheel and kiln still live on today. There is lots to discover in the old local pottery. (Text: www.wandermagazin.de).

How to get there: From Berlin central station on the RE18703 (Dessau) to Wiesenburg/Mark. From here, it is just under two kilometres on foot to (about one and a half hours)

Return journey: Take Bus 559 from Görzke to Brandenburg. Then take the RE1 (Frankfurt/Oder) from here to Berlin central station (about two hours).
