On the large terrace at Inselcafé, directly at the water's edge, guests can take a seat either at solid wooden tables or on the finely wrought garden chairs at round tables. The people who go to Inselcafé are just as diverse as the furniture – whether locals, school groups or international visitors from the nearby museums. A covered area is available. The café caters particularly to families and the needs of younger guests. Right next to the café there is a large adventure playground and a perennial garden. In addition, there is a garden pavilion, which can be used as a weatherproof meeting and event area with beamer and screen.

The menu includes dishes made from regional and seasonal ingredients: home-smoked pastrami sandwiches, fish, meat and vegetable dishes, salads, pizzas from the oven, pasta and home-baked cakes and waffles. Vegan dishes are also served. There are hot and cold drinks, many of them with reduced sugar. On request, snacks can be provided with recyclable packaging for take-away.

"Genuss zum Mitnehmen"

Für hiker, biker or picknicker there are fresh, regional products to go in a bag:
  • Hearty (option 1: a sandwich or soup and potato salad with beef meatball or vegan meatball or option 2: a bowl with vegetables, legumes and bread vegan or with chicken)
  • Sweets (cake)
  • Drinks (water, spritzer or coffee specialty in a Potspresso mug)

Price per person: EUR 20.00 plus EUR 5.00 deposit for cups

In addition, a picnic basket including dishes and blanket can be rented for a deposit of EUR 10.00.
