Perleberg stands on an island in the middle of the River Stepenitz. The tour starts on the banks of the river in Hagen and offers expansive views of the landscape and plenty of peace and quiet. It is worth making a short detour in Groß Pankow to take a walk in the estate park behind the Eye Clinic. This was once a seat of the noble Prignitz family, the Gans Edle Herren. The magnificent Baroque castle in Wolfshagen also belonged to the family. Today, the "Landadel and Porcelain" Museum is houses here. The route on to Perleberg runs parallel to the River Stepenitz with its idyllic meanders.
