Only pleasure boats use this canal today. The shores are often lined with dense reed belts, but there are always some good spots that can be accessed for fishing.

Fully paying members of DAV Berlin – LAV Brandenburg can fish here free of charge. The use of 2 rods and night fishing are allowed here. The night fishing permit is available if you purchase a week or month permit. This lake is managed by Landesanglerverband Brandenburg e.V. under the reference number P 14-203; the association also sells day, week and month permits.

Size: 21 hectares

Maximum depth: 2.50 metres

Bed: sandy

Length: 12 kilometres

Fish species: eel, perch, pike, tench, asp, chub, bream, roach, rudd, white bream, crucian carp, Prussian carp
