The lake is about 1.8 square kilometres in size with a maximum depth of 35 metres and the water quality is excellent.

The Zechliner Canal heading west provides a connection to Lake Schwarzen See and via the Repenter Canal to the east to Lake Zootzensee. This will take you to the Berlin waterways and Müritz.

The bathing area facilities are as follows: 
  • Pebble lido 
  • Parking area 
  • Seating (benches)
  • Waste disposal facilities 
  • Restaurant 300 metres from the bathing area

Current assessment of the water quality: “microbiologically harmless”
