The tour from Hangelsberg to Erkner is a section of the Märkisches Land Cruise. The slowly flowing Müggelspree is ideal for a relaxed trip and exciting adventures in nature. Both shores are lined with vast pastures and flood areas.

From the rest area for boaters and canoe rental business KanuSport Hangelsberg, which is just two minutes on foot from the train station in Hangelsberg, you travel downstream on the arms of the Alte Spree and over Lake Dämeritzsee until you reach Erkner.

Start: Hangelsberg train station

Finish: Erkner

How to get there: Take the RE1 (Frankfurt/Oder) to Hangelsberg from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about 45 minutes).

Return journey: From Erkner, take the RE1 (Magdeburg) to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about 30 minutes).

Route: Hangelsberg, Mönchswinkel, Spreeau, Gosen-Neu Zittau, Erkner

Nautical information: No motor boats, particularly unspoilt stretch of the Spree, wide reed belts, particularly convenient access and return journey on public transport, rented canoes do not need to be transferred. Very natural, no locks or portage points, sheltered from wind. Also recommended for inexperienced paddlers as paddling takes place in the direction of the current.
