Far away from the big city and yet right on the doorstep. The 66 lakes hiking trail leads through a total of 8 regional parks, 3 nature parks and far more than 66 lakes. In the Oder-Spree lake district, the route starts in Leuenberg and leads to Strausberg, along the beautifully clear Straussee. The path leads to the Stienitzsee, where a well-tended park and a lookout tower can be found in Hennickendorf. We continue on the Kalksee in Rüdersdorf and the Flakensee in Woltersdorf until the path leads through Erkner into the idyllic Löcknitz Valley. Following the course of the Löcknitz, the path leads you from Klein Wall to the Spree. Along the Spree it goes to the cathedral city of Fürstenwalde and then towards Scharmützelsee. The path leads past Petersdorfer See to the spa town of Bad Saarow. You have now reached the "Märkische Meer". After the east bank of the Scharmützelsee has been walked, the path branches off to the Kleiner Kolpiner See and then runs to Storkow to the Großer Storkower See. You hike along the entire lake until you reach the Scharmützelsee again, this time the south bank in Wendisch Rietz. Through the resort you go to the Glubigsee with the Glubigseenkette, which you follow to the Neuendorfer See. The path finally ends in Leibsch.
