The “Welzow Window” viewpoint is located on the eastern edge of the town of Welzow and as a fixed viewing platform offers a unique view of the active Welzow-Süd surface lignite mine. Information boards on the geology of the region, the technology of surface mining and other tourist attractions in the town of Welzow are a source of additional helpful information at the viewpoint.

The viewing platform is accessible for guests with reduced mobility. 

How to get there:

Exit Welzow via Eintrachtallee. Access the viewing platform via the surface mine access road (LEAG service road), which is clearly signposted at the turn-off. A designated car park is available in the immediate vicinity.
