This cultural walk takes you through the much lesser-known northern part of Potsdam while still including many of the city’s famous sights. One aspect of northern Potsdam is that it was predominantly a restricted military area until the fall of the Wall. Here, Prussian history is impressively intertwined with more recent German history. On the other hand, nature and culture merge here in the magnificent lakeland scenery of the Jungfernsee, Tiefensee, Heiligensee and Glienicksee.
