Incidentally, milk from Schwante and fruit from the region are used to make the wide selection of Schwanten farm ice cream sold at the Ice Cream Pavilion at the milk vending station on weekends. Coffee and cake are also available – and in winter mulled wine and hot chocolate. Word has got around about the quality of Schwanten ice cream: it has been spotted in freezers at Spargelhof Kremmen and Clärchens Ballhaus in Berlin Mitte.
