A small paradise for nature and hiking lovers: The family-suitable hiking tour starts at the Kunsterteich and can then be started via two signposted paths. One leads to the right along the Kunster pond, the other to the left - so you can make a varied circular hike out of the small tour through the quite hilly landscape called "Ruppin Switzerland".

On the nature trail, information boards provide interesting facts about flora and fauna, and there is always something to discover for young and old. Of course, the "Kochquelle" itself is particularly fascinating - it's a small spring spouting out of the ground with so much pressure that it bubbles on the surface of the water. The name "Kochquelle" which means "cooking spring" is a bit misleading: The water is about 8 degrees Celsius in summer and winter. But the "bubbling" is nevertheless somewhat reminiscent of a boiling pot and is an impressive natural spectacle!

Length: 4 kilometers
Start/finish: Parking lot on the L16, diagonally across from the parking lot of the Kunsterspring Animal Park and a few meters away from the trout farm.
Marking: A nature trail leads along the Kunster pond and the Kunster river to the Koch spring.
Route description / things to see and know: The route leads on natural forest paths through the total reserve in the deeply cut stream valley of the Kunster. Small turn-offs, e.g. to the idyllic spring site Margarethenruh, as well as numerous information boards invite you to stop and take a break.
