Located about 30 kilometres east of Berlin-Mitte, the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin is best known for its unique limestone deposit in northern Germany. The open-cast mine is still active and the cement plant exports Rüdersdorf cement throughout Europe. The Rüdersdorf Museum Park is the only open-air museum in the world that has such a wide variety of historical limestone and mines and associated processing and transport facilities. In the parking lot of the museum park, located directly at the breaking edge of the open-cast mine, there are 5 free parking spaces for motorhomes, which have supply and disposal facilities. There is a column with two power outlets that can be used for a fee. The public car park is open 24 hours a day. There is a grey water and chemical toilet disposal facility.
