The town of Müncheberg is located in the east of the state of Brandenburg, halfway between the federal capital Berlin and the German-Polish border on the edge of the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park. The gatekeeper's house and the gate tower of the Berlin Gate are home to a permanent exhibition on the town's history, which provides a vivid overview of Müncheberg's development over the 770 years of its existence, as well as the Müncheberg Tourist Information Centre.
