A brief description of the history:

Albert Julius Graf von Zieten-Schwerin continued the Zieten knight’s estate in Wustrau after the last Zieten in Wustrau died in 1854.

Constance House was built in 1908. The count presented it as a gift to his wife Constance on the occasion of her 70th birthday. The owners of the Zieten knight’s estate were Christians and socially minded people. They established something that we would call a clubhouse today: with a theatre auditorium, stage, billiards room, library, music and reading room as well as a bowling alley and play equipment in the courtyard for children.
