Departure: You can also travel there and back in reverse order. Check for up-to-date alternatives on site or via the train app from "Deutsche Bahn".

Route: Hennigsdorf, Birkenwerder

Description: The stage starts in the centre of Hennigsdorf and leads via Havelplatz, which opens onto the pedestrian zone, towards the Oder-Havel Canal. Initially, the route follows paved paths out of the urban area. Along the Havel Canal, the walking and hiking trails offer sweeping views of the canal and the wet Havel floodplains before the trail heads east along the Briese into Birkenwerder.  Here, forests, meadows and marshy sections alternate, accessible via wooden walkways. In Birkenwerder, the trail leads through Brieseallee, continuing along Erich-Mühsam-Straße and ‘An der Bahn’ directly to the train station. The stage thus ends in the centre of Birkenwerder with good connections to regional and suburban rail services.

Trail conditions: asphalt paths, paved paths, natural paths, paths with loose surfaces, gravel paths.
