The building named after the politician is used for various purposed by the municipality of Birkenwerder. There is a history parlour in the basement with lots of interesting information on local history. The ground floor is home to the municipal library. The Clara-Zetkin museum is on the upper floor, where you can see what were probably the last personal possessions of the socialist and women’s rights activist.

In the garden of the villa, there is a bronze sculpture of Clara Zetkin and Rosa Luxemburg.
