Traditional art of bookmaking in combination with contemporary literature is a special matter for the society Buchwerk Bodoni e.V. The forum of science, literature, music, art and culture has been growing since 2013. The Bodoni-Vielseithof is also becoming a centre of historical and modern printing, publishing and cultural youth and education work through numerous events.

You can listen to readings or concerts as well as you can participate at different workshops that take place in the salon or cowshed. Themed exhibitions on the history of the art of lead typesetting and book printing are shown.

Whether after an event or for a longer holiday in the country, Bodoni-Vielseithof offers a generous holiday apartment “Kulturfreizeiten”, for six plus two persons.
Bodoni-Vielseithof is also home to the Bodoni museum with over 130 year old typesetting and printing technology. The workshop is named after the 18th century Italian typographer Giambattista Bodoni. Formerly located in a rear courtyard in Berlin, the technology went into operation at a historic Winkeldruckerey printworks from 1885. The amazing historic functionality of the machines represent the preservation of a traditional lead typesetting printworks in the modern age and serves as a forum for exchange between printers, typesetters, graphic artists, writers, historians and visitors.
